NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION

  • Coordination of neighborhood groups and individuals seeking to maintain and improve the upper falls area of the city of Rochester.
  • Residential Assistance Programs.
  • Rehabilitation of current housing.
  • Grants for exterior housing repairs (roofs, paving, sealing, new windows, etc.)
  • Assistance in applying for city grant and loan programs.
  • Rome Security Grant Program (HSG).
  • Grants of up to $500 for security materials such as deadbolt locks, window bars, floodlights, solid core doors, etc.
  • Match Program.
  • Homeowner must match funds.
  • Crime Prevention Programs.
  • Coordination of local PAC-TAC Units and Neighborhood Watch Programs.
  • Hoodstock, USA.
  • Youth development.
  • Voter literacy.
  • Economic empowerment.
  • Education counseling.
  • Information and referral.
  • Landlord and tenant problems.
  • Department of Social Services programs.
  • Government Agencies and programs.
  • Participation in city's Adopt-A-Lot Program.
  • Vacant lots are cleaned and cut by residents.
  • Assistance with neighborhood clean-ups.

Must live in area bounded by Clifford Avenue, Central Avenue, North Street and St. Paul Street.
